The hotel is located in the beautiful and legendary Orosi Valley 39 Km./24 miles from San José . The property represents the only Mountain &. Spa destination in Costa Rica . Hotel Río Perlas Spa, Resort & Casino is surrounded by many natural attractions as Tapantí National Park (15 Km . / 9 miles), Irazú and Turrialba volcano's (57 Km ./ 35 miles and 30 Km./19 miles each one), the Arqueological Reserve of Guayabo (30 Km./19 miles), the Pacuare and Reventazón rivers normally used for white water rafting, the Lankaster Gardens (9 Km./6 miles) and the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels located in the center of the old Costa Rican's metropoli: Cartago.



Rooms:
A total of 69 rooms are distributed in 6 Standard rooms, 26 Standard Superior rooms, 15 Junior Suites, 1 Master Suite, 1 Presidential Suite and 20 Cabanas. All rooms have direct dial phone, coffee maker, mini bar, safe security box, satellite TV, full bathroom, hear dryer, terraces / balconies. Non smoking rooms and handicap facilities are on request. Internet, laundry service and system available.

Outdoor Attractions

Nacional Tapanti Park
This area known as Tapanti, was before named National Wild Life Refugee and National Park Tapanti. It is located in Orosi, Paraiso, Cartago. It is 6080 hectares long and its altitude goes from 1220 to 2560msnm. One of the rainiest zones in Costa Rica, there is a 6500mm annual valuation registered, it even got to 8000mm once. The rainiest period goes from May to October.

Irazú Volcano National Park
Irazú Volcano is located on Central Volcanic Region, 31km. northwest of Cartago. His name comes from Indian backgrounds, from the word Istarú, which means tremor and Thunder Mountain. Since time passed, the name changed to Irazú. The volcano is also know as “Santa Bárbara Mortal de la Naturaleza " .

Lankester Botanical Garden
Internationally recognized for its outstanding collections of epiphytes (air plants), the Jardín Botánico Lankester was established in 1973 as a center for display, education, conservation and reearch of tropical plants, with an emphasis on ordchids. In its 27 acres of in-and outdoord gardnes, almost 3000 species of living plants are displayed,including bomeliads, aroids, heliconias, gingers, musaceae (banana family), cacti, ferns, bamboos, palms and a variety of tropical trees.

Orosi Church
The town of Orosí is found in a valley of the Central Plateau, 35 km. from the capital. The first phone was not put in until 1975. However, with the growing conscience of cultural values, and due to the beauty of the place, Orosí has gained tourist importance. On the southeast side of the temple, there is an L-shaped conjstruction that was used as a monastery, and is now a museum..

National Park Turrialba Volcano
It is located 24 km. from Turrialba. Its flora shows Costa Rican’s richness on vegetation besides of the beautiful landscapes it offers to visitors.

Basílica de los Angeles
This is the fourth building constructed, which was destroyed by 1910 quake. The reconstruction of the actual building began on 1912 by the engineer Luis Lach under the supervision of Storck. The construction took 12 to 14 years approximately, it has a Roman, Arabian and Greco forms, and it has Italian floors and 32 German windows made by Oitmanm Ars Vittrea. Among the representations on the windows are: Virgen de los Angeles, 15 pictures of the Holy “Vía Crucis” and more Marian motives. The bells weigh 900 kilograms and were brought from France and made by Pascard in Annecy.
