The Company than we chose has satisfied the regulations of Association for Challenge Course Technology, ACCT, in USA . That company is CR Arenal Canopy Tours. That company was selected by us because they accomplished all the safety standard rules, for instance they use helmets, crowd control, redundancy and safety rules and protocols, recommended by ACCT. Also, the materials used to build the platforms and cables are the best available.

This Canopy is at the foot of the mountain range where the Arenal Volcano is located, being one of the best places to see it, inside of the Rain Forest. The Tree-Top Canopy has 9 platforms and 7 zip lines.

The platforms are at an elevation of 150 feet. The shortest cable is 195 ft and the longest is 650 ft. It makes the adventure more exciting and full adrenaline. The adventure begins when you arrive to the stables and the guides give you a safety briefing of your tour, then you get part of the equipment and you horseback ride for approximately 40 minutes. When you get at your destination, we give you the rest of the equipment necessary. Then, we continue with a short walk through the rain forest where a guide points out things that prevail in that kind of tropical forest. Some times it is possible to see several species of animals, such as white faced and howler monkeys, rodents, and a great diversity of birds.

As well as an enormous variety of orchids, and canopy plant life. The trees we use are adults that tower above, the platforms are at an elevation of 150 feet (45 mts). This activity can also be done on full moon nights, (depends on the weather conditions) upon request to Costa Rica DIVE guides, we can provided with ATV instead of horses. The complete ride, horseback riding and canopy tour will take approximately 4 hours 30 minutes.

We should exalt the fact that it is at the same time a tour of observation of nature and an adventure tour. In each platform the customers have the chance to observe the forest from different angles and to take pictures of the beautiful landscapes. All the platforms are designed for observation of life rather than damage of it. Trees like Cocora (billia hippocastanum);Peine de mico (apeiba membranacea), and Capulín (mortoniodendron apetala) just to name a few.
