YMCA 2007 TRIP REPORT
YMCA-CENTRAL AMERICA - JULY 2007

Elvis,

Thanks for all the great time in Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Panama. From picking us up in Managua with your bive shirt and bus we knew you would make the trip tons of fun You playing with snakes in old Leon, and taking us to the springs with the children…well never forget these three weeks…..thanks, Sarah.

Elvis,

You are an unforgettable person. Thank you for making these three weeks amazing. I would have to say that my absolute favorite thing was listening to play your guitar and sing. You never failed to put a smile on my face, and you have the biggest heart and personality. Stay sketchy and easy! Thanks for one of the most wonderful trips of my life.

And your amazing accent that I like to make fun of….but its only because we love you and like to listen to you talk like a Valley Girl! You are the most amazing person ever made. You are made this Trip so amazing. You always keep laughing and smiling. It is fantastic. All the Cathedrals, we visited were beautiful. Granada was fantastic, as well as Managua. I specially love all the Volcanoes. I would have to say one of my most favorite activities was the bubbling mud with the little kids. The dead day in the mud was gross but I got four pots from the kids. Before I left one of the Girls told me that her heart was mine. I t was adorable, I almost cried. My second favorite thing was all the volcanoes. They were awesome. So basically we are two of a kind and I really enjoyed all the hiking. Exploring and learing we did while in Nicaragua. “Me gusta tu Pais”. Let me tell you something…….you need to come to DC. And visit us.. Potter~Kimberly.

This trip has been absoluty amazing and you have made it so much beter with all your of your sketchy moments and such your knowledge and love for your country shows through everything you do with us. From hiking up volcanoes to showing us the amazing children at the hot mud springs. You always keep everyone laughing and happy I would never forget your guitar playing at the beach or your sketchy faces Thank you for a wonderful trip that I will never foget. Kerin. Ka. Casper.

This trip to Central America has opened up my eyes to the wonders of this World. Never in the States would I get to experience active volcanoes. Black sand beaches, 800 different types of coral and so much more. Each of you has taught us the beauty and history of your Countries. With so much passion that makes it “come to life” Elvis from the first time I saw you at the Airport in Managua I knew that I was in for a magical experience. The knowledge that you have of Nicaragua and your love for your Country shined those first few days. I never dreamed that you would be so much fun or became such an important part of my trip. You showed us the heart of Nicaragua through those children at the hot Springs. You watched high school musical over and over to the point that we sang the songs together. That movie will always remand me of you. Thank you!

And Rolo even though we did not have you from the beginning you joined in well with the rest of the group. Your endless knowledge of Costa Rica and Panama was amazing. Thank you to both of you for making this trip so memorable!!!
