ARENAL VOLCANO
ARENAL VOLCANO (2NIGHTS)

Day 2:
Lodging: Arenal Area.
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner
Full day Mountain Bike Tour
From el Tucano to Arenal (Fortuna down town)

Distance: 30 km to 45 km / 19 to 28 miles
- Altitude gain: 575 m / 1,886 ft
- Terrain: Rolling hills. Road mostly paved with some sections of gravel.
- Difficulty: Easy to Moderate

Day 3:
Lodging: Arenal Area.
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner
Half Day Mountain Bike Tour
Arenal Lake to El Castillo

- Distance: 13 to 26 km / 8 to 16 milesAltitude gain: 85 mts / 280 feet
- Terrain: Secondary road of gravel and sand with a few rocky spots.
- Difficulty: Easy to moderate, flat with a few short hills.

This ride takes us on an old road connecting Arenal Dam with the main entrance to Arenal Volcano National Park. From there we go towards the Arenal Observatory Lodge and the village of El Castillo. We'll be biking on a quiet lane surrounded by dense forest and a few cattle farms. Along the ride we often see howling monkeys, coatis, and many birds like toucans, egrets and king fishers. We'll stop for a picnic on the shore of Lake Arenal where it's possible to swim. The volcano is visible during most of the ride and we can often hear its activity while we bike.

• Afternoon: Hiking in Fortuna Waterfalls.
• Night: Eco Termales Hot Springs.


RINCON DE LA VIEJA, NATIONAL PARK

RINCON DE LA VIEJA (3NIGHTS)

Day 4:
Lodging: Rincon de la Vieja Mountain Ranch.
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner
Road Biking around Lake Arenal.

- Distance: 30 km to 45 km / 19 to 28 miles

This is our traditional tour on the road around the north shore of Arenal Lake. This lane has very little traffic and offers the most relaxing ride through tropical forest full of monkeys, birds and the views of the lake as well as a chance to feel the unhurried rural life in this remote part of Costa Rica. We'll offer a picnic snack and lunch will be served at a restaurant at the end of the ride.

Day 5:
Lodging: Rincon de la Vieja.
Meals included: 1 breakfast, 1 lunch, 1 dinner.

Activities.
• Morning: Mountain Bike.
• Afternoon: Hiking in Rincon de la Vieja (Geysers Section)
• (Park entrance fees not included).
• Enjoy Rincon de la Vieja Waterfalls.

Day 6:
Lodging: Rincon de la Vieja
Meals included: 1 breakfast, 1 box lunch, 1 dinner.

Activities.
• Full day: Hiking in Rincon de la Vieja Volcano 12,000 feet.
• (Park entrance fees not included).
• Late in the afternoon: Relax in the pool.

SAN JOSE (1 NIGHT)

Day 7:
Lodging: San Jose (One of our select hotels)
Meals included: 1 breakfast, 1 lunch, 1 dinner.
Activities: Traveling day.

Day 8:
Departure Day. Fly Home.
Meals: Breakfast included, only.
